  • There hasn’t been a repeat winner in Ohio yet, 10 races into the season. Cole Macedo (Attica), Dean Jacobs (Wayne County), and Gary Taylor (Waynesfield)  added their names to the list this weekend.
  • Gary Taylor led all 30 laps at Waynesfield to take his first victory since teaming up with Andy Potter and the Seeling Family No. 97 machine.
  • Taylor also leads the OhioDirtTrackStats.com 410 Sprint Car rankings with 30 points, three points ahead of Brandon Spithaler. Taylor boasts three Top 5’s and five Top 10’s.
  • Speaking of Spithaler, he was looking pretty sporty at the end of the Attica feature, a late caution and he may have had something for Macedo and Brian Smith. He finished second Saturday night at Wayne County.
  • How about Brian Smith? “Shakedown and out by sundown” was the plan Friday night, but things went a little different. Smith started second in the feature, led some laps, and eventually finished second.
  • We knew once Cole Macedo and Ray Brooks Racing started putting whole nights together, the wins would come. Macedo got the monkey off his back Friday in convincing fashion.
  • Dean Jacobs took the win at Wayne County Saturday night after his son, Trey, blew a tire while leading with two laps left.
  • Jamie Miller swept the weekend in the 305 division, winning handily at Attica Friday, and taking an exciting win Saturday at Waynesfield.
  • Have you seen how good Adam Cruea’s car looks? If you haven’t, we have you covered.
  • It was good to see both Caleb Helms and Kelsey Ivy behind the wheel again. Helms came out of retirement Saturday to run Jamie Miller’s No. 6 car and was in a transfer spot in the BMain before a spin ended his run. Kelsey was in her own 305 and came home ninth in the feature.
