The weekly QuickHits, where I write about things you may or may not care about, and you may or may not read.

Jordan Ryan Finally Wins at ARP: After being the bridesmaid three times, Jordan Ryan left no doubt about his first Attica 410 win. He defended against challenges from TJ Michael and Cap Henry, but ultimately, Ryan was able to navigate lapped traffic and restarts and take the checkered flag. It was Ryan’s first 410 win at Attica, and there was a big sigh of relief as he pulled into victory lane. It was Ryan’s first win since his Ohio Speedweek score at Wayne County in 2024.

Mumaw, Blaney go back-to-back: At the Wayne County Speedway and Sharon Speedway, respectively, Danny Mumaw and Dale Blaney would find themselves in victory lanes for the second race in a row. Mumaw and Blaney both led from the start and led their entire features. At one point, Blaney had an eleven second lead at Sharon. Tyler Street and Chris Myers rounded out the podium at Wayne County and Jacob Begenwald and Adam Kekich completed the podium at Sharon.

Cap Wins Again at Fremont: In the back half of the AFCS weekend, Cap took his fifth win of the season, after taking the lead from Nate Dussel on lap five. Kasey Jedrzejek kept Henry honest in second, but was consistently one second behind Henry in the closing laps. Henry kept his torrid start to 2025 going, and now has five wins, 11 top fives, and 12 top tens in 14 starts. Or as Henry would probably say, “Merely adequate.”

Davenport wins, Schlenk loses: In the first late model crown-jewel of the season, it was Jonathan Davenport taking home his 11th Eldora Crown Jewel in this weekend’s Late Model Dream. He took the lead on lap 40 and cruised from there, winning by 10 seconds over Bobby Pierce and Nick Hoffman. Davenport also scored a prelim win, along with Josh Rice. Pierce won the FloRacing Night in America feature on Wednesday. In news that should come as a shock, Rusty Schlenk lost Friday night at Attica. He was looking to go 7/7 to start the season, but defending track champion Kyle Moore was able to hold Schlenk off in the closing stages to take the win.

-The All Stars took on Williams Grove and Lincoln Friday and Saturday night, Lance Dewease and Danny Dietrich were your winners. The Posse showed their strength, taking 19 of a possible 20 top ten finishing spots. Speedweek is up next for the All Stars.
-In AFCS 305 action, Seth Schneider and Jamie Miller took the wins at Attica and Fremont, respectively.
-Adam Trimble took the win in the ASCS High Plains Region race Friday night at Sweetwater Speedway in Wyoming.
-How cool was it to see Travis Arenz take down the High Rollers at 141 Speedway on Thursday?
-Things got better for the High Rollers Friday and Saturday against the Outlaws, with Rico Abreu and Brad Sweet topping the Outlaws in Wisconsin. Today’s race at Angell Park has been postponed due to rain.
-Max Stambaugh won another GLSS Ohio Region race Friday night at Limaland, his third of the season at Lima, and fourth overall. Phil Gressman and Corbin Gurley completed the podium.
-Van Gurley Jr. decided against towing out to central PA with the All Stars this weekend. Instead, he raced at Attica Friday, and Butler on Saturday. Aiden Price also wasn’t in attendance Friday night at Williams Grove.
-It was really, really good to see Carson Ferguson walk away from a crash at the Dream on Friday. Getting hit in the roof by a late model is never a good thing.
