It’s been a minute or six since the Quick Hits have made an appearance, so let’s get right to it, shall we?

  • There were four races completed this weekend in the 410 division, with Cale Conley (Attica), Trey Jacobs (Wayne County), Adam Kekich (Sharon), and Cole Duncan (Portsmouth) picking up the wins.
  • Trey Jacobs finally found himself back in victory lane for the first time since 2019. His father, Dean ran second.
  • Jacobs had finished in the top five a whopping 15 times in 2020 and 2021 before picking up the win, including two runner-up finishes in a row at Attica
  • Cale Conley denied Jacobs of his first Attica win by only .083 seconds Friday night. It was Conley’s first Buckeye State win of the year.
  • Mother Nature continues to wreak havoc on the AFCS season, they lost another show Saturday night at Fremont due to rain and unsafe track conditions.
  • Speaking of the AFCS, DJ Foos leads the points standings. Craig Mintz is 66 markers back in second, and Cole Macedo is third, 71 points back.
  • Foos is having himself quite the year. He’s racked up six wins, and leads the AFCS, Fremont, and OhioDirtTrackStats 410 standings, and is only ten points back of Trey Jacobs in the Attica Standings.
  • It’s no surprise that Foos also leads Ohio in top five and top ten finishes. He has 14 and 18, respectively.
  • Cole Macedo and Ray Brooks Racing have been slumping since Speedweek, with a lot of things going wrong out of their control. Their luck may have turned around Friday night, as they finished fifth and didn’t run into any issues.
  • Adam Kekich’s win at Sharon Saturday night was his first career win at Sharon. AJ Flick finished second and Carl Bowser rounded out the podium.
  • Cole Duncan’s win at Portsmouth was his fourth of the year. He has two wins at Atomic, and a Speedweek win at Fremont as well.
  • Duncan is now tied with Broc Martin and Kyle Larson for second in the win category this season.
  • There have now been 38 different winners in Ohio this season with 59 races completed.
  • Paul Weaver got back to his winning ways in the 305 division at Attica Friday night. That was his fifth Attica win of the year, and eighth total in 2021.
  • How can we forget to talk about the Front Row Challenge Friday night?? Rich Farmer offered an extra $5,000 to the front row of Chris Andrews and Cale Conley if they could win from the tail. It took $10,000 for Andrews to take it. Andrews was moving through the field when he got together with John Ivy, ending his race early. It could have been a $14,000 payday for Andrews.
  • Ohio drivers found victory lane out on the road Friday night. Sheldon Haudenschild won at Williams Grove with the Outlaws and Cap Henry won at Lake Ozark with the All Stars. They both finished second on Saturday as well.
  • It was nice having Alex Bowman in the pits Friday and Saturday at Attica and Fremont. The NASCAR Star is doing some winged 410 racing while NASCAR is on break. He plans to be back to Attica and Fremont next week. OhioDirt has a story on Bowman on the site.
  • Zach Ames may be another name to watch out of Wayne County. He finished fourth Saturday night. It was his second top five, and seventh top ten finish of the year.
  • Connor Leoffler was a surprise entry at Attica. His night didn’t go to plan, but he rebounded Saturday night at Portsmouth, finishing sixth from 21st.
